ARC-welded Carbon Steel Pipes for Ordinary Piping

Nippon Steel Pipe provides the ARC-welded carbon steel pipes for ordinary piping described below.

Applications and Features

ARC-welded carbon steel pipes for ordinary piping are used in piping for steam under relatively low pressure, water, gas, air, and more.
Under the JIS standards, ARC welding is specified as the manufacturing method. Our products are not JIS standardized items, as they are electric resistance welded, but since they have the same chemical compositions and mechanical properties, the same tests as for the JIS are applicable.
Grooving corrosion-resistant electric resistance welded steel pipes (Super Seams) are needed for piping where corrosion is a concern. Contact us for details.

Chemical Composition and Mechanical Properties

Notes:
  1. The No. 12 and No. 5 test pieces are taken form portions that do not include seams.
  2. The minimum elongations of tubes with a wall thickness of less than 8 mm differ depending on the wall thickness classification.

Standard Dimensions / Mass and Dimensional Tolerances

The standard length of one pipe is 5,500 mm.
